This reddish Brown jade bangle comes from a single piece of natural jade in a deep, warm red tone. The colour leans toward a fiery persimmon shade, which collectors often call “hong fei” or red jadeite. At the same time, the colour does not stay flat. Instead, it shifts gently across the band, with richer red areas drifting into softer, lighter patches. Light enters the stone and warms it from within, so the red looks richer in direct light and quieter at shaded angles. The polish adds a smooth, even lustre, yet the jade keeps the soft inner glow that sets natural stone apart from glass or dyed material.
Texture and form
Across the band, you can see fine internal markings and faint cloudy patches. These features developed during the jade’s slow crystallisation underground, and jade collectors read them as signs of authenticity since the stone holds no dye or filler. The bangle itself takes the form of one continuous oval ring, smoothly rounded with no carving. In jade tradition, the closed oval form stands for completeness, because it has no beginning and no end.
